When John and I first visited Plant Land to pick out shrubs I spotted this little birdbath and had to have it. (We left the one we had in Bonney Lake.) We put it out where I can see it from my studio and surrounded it with rocks and moss. The birds have discovered it and are making good use of it. I am really enjoying seeing them. The birds here are more varied and are much more colorful than what I was use to seeing in Washington. And, lucky me, my Aunt Jean is a birder and has been able to help me identify some. She's also recommended a couple of good bird books, so I'll be looking for those. Today it looked like there were almost a dozen birds out there at once. I need to get faster with my camera or figure out how to make sure they don't see me moving through the window!
